Farassi is committed to protecting your privacy. The following policy describes how we collect, store, use and disclose personally identifiable information (Personal Information). Our goal is to collect, use and disclose only that information reasonably required to enable us to provide the particular product or services that you have requested, to maintain our customer/visitor lists and/or to respond to your inquiries or feedback. If you have provided us with contact information, then we will maintain the confidentiality of your contact information and use it only for the purposes for which we have collected it, unless you agree that we may disclose it to other third parties (subject to the exclusions we have listed below).

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

1. When you Create An Account with Us

When you create a Farassi Account, you provide us with your personal information that includes your name, password, phone number and or email. You can also choose to add a payment information to your account. If you don’t have an account, you may contact us via our support portal and provide us with information including an email address to receive help and or updates about our services etc.

2. Location

We collect your location data to facilitate easy pairing of riders or users with service providers

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt in to saving your name, e-mail address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

We keep your profile information for as long as you maintain an account. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except for Service providers who cannot change their personal details due to legal issues). They can always contact our customer service to amend or delete their account or data except that which is required by appropriate authorities for legal reasons.

We retain transactional information such as rides and payments for at least at least a years to meet government regulatory obligations and to ensure we can do other business functions, such as accounting for tax obligations. If you request account deletion, we will delete your all your personal and transactional information except except that which is required to meet regulatory to meet regulatory requirements. .

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account with us, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Children’s Data

Farassi is not designed to target children. We do not intentionally and knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we find out that a child under 13 has given us personal information, we will take steps to delete that information. If you believe that a child under the age of 13 has given us personal information, please contact us via our support portal.

How we protect your data

We use encryption to keep your data private while in transit. We offer a range of security features, like Safe Browsing, and 2 Step Verification to help you protect your account. Passwords are encrypted at all times. We review our information collection, storage, and processing from time to time, to prevent unauthorized access to our systems. Access to personal information is restricted to Farassi employees, contractors, and or agents who need that information in order to provide you with our product or services. Anyone with this access is subject to strict confidentiality obligations and may be disciplined or terminated if they fail to meet these obligations.

We take reasonable and appropriate measures designed to protect your personal information. But no security measures can be 100% effective, and we cannot guarantee the security of your information, including against unauthorized intrusions or acts by third parties.

What data breach procedures we have in place

A personal data breach is “a breach of security leading to the accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure of, or access to, personal data, whether by accidental or deliberate causes”.

Our Security expert will investigate and deal with privacy breaches in accordance with the following Data Breach Response Plan.
  • Take immediate steps to contain the breach.
  • Establish what security measures were in place when the breach occurred.
  • Assess whether technical or organisational measures can be implemented to prevent the breach from happening again

We will monitor the effectiveness of this and all of our policies and procedures and conduct a full review and updated as appropriate.

What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data

We use personal data to make automated decisions relating to the use of our services.
This includes:
  • Matching available drivers and delivery providers to service requesting customers. Based on availability, proximity, and other considerations, users may be matched.
  • Enabling dynamic pricing where the cost of ride or our other services is measured on the basis of constantly changing conditions, 
    such as the expected time and distance, the estimated route, the estimated traffic and the number of riders and drivers using Uber at given time.
